Custom Lithophane

Your photo, printed in light. A lithophane is a thin 3D-printed panel that looks like a plain textured tile until you hold it up to light. Then your photo appears, sharp and glowing. It makes a gift people actually keep.

See it before you order

Upload your photo above and the preview shows your lithophane right away. Switch between lit and unlit, try black and white or full color, see it framed or with the LED backlight, and drag or zoom to choose your exact crop. We print the crop you choose.

Pick your style

• Black & White: the classic lithophane. Your photo shows up in soft shades of gray when backlit. Timeless for portraits, pets and memorial pieces.
• Full Color: printed in layered color filaments so your photo glows in full color when lit. Best for bright, colorful shots like vacations, weddings and family photos.

Pick your display

• Panel only: set it in a sunny window or in front of a lamp and your photo appears.
• Framed: a clean frame that finishes the edges and stands neatly on a shelf or desk.
• Framed + LED backlight: a frame with a built-in light, so your photo glows day or night with no window needed. Our favorite for gifts.

Photo tips

• Use the original, highest-resolution photo you have. Screenshots and photos saved from social media come out blurry.
• Clear faces, good lighting and strong contrast give the sharpest results.
• Size: 4 × 6 in (102 × 152 mm), portrait or landscape. Ships in 3 to 5 business days.

If your photo won't print well, we'll contact you before printing.
